Singapore Flyer on 26 Jun 10

Koby's school is going to re-open for Semeser 3 on 28 Jun 10, the coming Monday. We decided to bring Koby for a ride on the Singapore Flyer. Gugu managed to get dscounted tickets at 50% off. We went on a ride together with Ah Gong and Ah Ma. It was quite an experience especially when you have to hop on the cubicle of the wheel. It just keeps moving, so u have to be fast. Mummy has to carry Koby tight and hop on it. We were lucky again when we were at the top of the wheel, there is the NDP rehearsal and the helicopter and fighter planes flew pass us again. Though we could not hear the noise from inside. Thought I would say the view is not as spectacular as on Duxton...but the experience of being in an air-conditioned cubicle enjoying the surroundinggs is worth the try.

Pinnacle @ Duxton on 19 Jun 10

Lay Teng invited us to her new house at Pinnacle @ Duxton for house warming on 19 Jun 10. The fried chicken wings and wonton she made were yummy. Koby especially likes the crust of the chicken wings.
The Sky Garden on the 50th storey was really a spectacular sight in the evening. The roof were interlinked where we can see the different surroundings at different angles. There was also lots of space for the kids to run around. We were very lucky to see the NDP' 2010 rehearsal. The helicopters (with the Singapore flag) and fighter planes flew pass us. On the 26th storey was a sheltered jogging track and mini playground.

Sentosa, Resorts World Universal Studios on 2 Apr 10

Papa brought Koby to Sentosa Resorts World, Universal Studios on 2 Apr 10. It was rather crowded. We took a train from Vivo City. The best place Koby liked most is the Hershey's chocolate. Look at him posing with the XL size Hershey's Chocolate piggy bank. We also brought Koby to the shopping area outside the casiono. Before we went back, we took the train to tour the other stations in Sentosa. Sentosa has definately changed alot since I last went for the teambuilding course....

School Excursion @ Pasir Ris Fish Farm on 6 May 10

Chinese Kindergarden organised a school excursion at one of the Pasir Ris Fish Farm for the pre-nusery kids on 6 May 10. The theme was aligned with the classes taught in Semester 2 - Pets.
Mummy brought Koby there on that sunny day. The kids were given food to feed the koi fish, chickens, ducks, rabbits and a noisy goose. Koby likes feeding the chickens and fishes best. After feeding, the kids were each given a net and a bucket to catch the 'logang' fishes. Up till to-day, there is only one surviving black molly left in Koby's aquarium.
The excursion then close off with an animal show where the kids can touch the mice, gerbil and rabbits. Koby is quite scared by the animals. He had managed to 'high five' with a dwarf rabbit though...
Overall, the excursion has been fun and it was our first time there. Didn't know that Pasir Ris has such great places for the kids...thumbs up...will definately bring Koby there again!

Chinese New Year

Koby and mei mei

Group Pic (with Koby yawning away)
It has been a long time since I updated Koby's blog.
Koby started pre-nusery school at Chinese Kindergarden in Jan 2010. He is still in the process of adapting to school life. Afterall he is still very young as compared to his peers who are much older than him. Unfortunately, he is also fell sick more often. He just recovered from flu and cough. Going to make him eat more vitamins and fruits to build up his immune system.
On day 2 of CNY, we visited our Hokkaido tour group members Jack and Helen's home at AMK. Dear~ missed mei mei (little milia. Hubby always call her mei mei).Mei mei was only 20 mths old when she went to Hokkaido with them. She is still as cute and skin as white as ever. We hit off with this couple and baby very well in Hokkaido. We ate together, went onjen together, etc. Dear~ and I had an enjoyable trip in Nov 09. Afterall, it was our first trip to Japan and Dear~ had promised to bring me to Japan before we even got married....

Coming to 21 months old

It has been almost 3 months since I have uploaded Koby's blog...

We brought Koby for a fishing trip on a sunday morning upon recommendation by
Uncle Tan Lye Soon that there is a place in Yishun called the Bottletree Park where kids can catch fish at 10 bucks. Koby was more interested in swimming in the pond...haa...eventually it was Daddy, Mummy, Aunty Lina who catch...haa...it's supposed to be $10 per pax...eventually was $10 for 4 pax. It was a nice quiet place to spend the lazy sunday morning away.
And finally coming to 21 months, Koby can say a few words "bye bye", "mama", "mum mum", "up" and he also started to follow a few fews he hear. Like today, I heard him saying "zip" while he was watching the Baby can read VCD and say "train" while looking at his Thomas the Train coloring book. We just gotta talk more to him so that in no time he will be able to speak in sentences...Koby "jia you"...Mummy look forward to talking to you....

Koby is 18 months old..at last!!!

Daddy's car....
mmmm.....

I am a little tumble tot
Finally, our little one is 1yr and 6mths...was a really long wait. haa...
This month we have registered him for pre-school (N1) next year at Chinese Kindergarden which is off outram road. There will be an orientation in Oct / Nov this year.
In preparing him for school, we have also sign him up for the tumble tots gym at Jurong East, every sunday at 10.30am. Probably boys are slower...he is still shy and cry when he sess the teacher. But I must comment that Teacher Nadia was very very patient. Despite his crying etc (keep disturbing others...so 'ma lu'), she still encourage us to let him slowly adapt. She even prepare his favourite ambulance when he comes for class...we were very happy when he did not cry last week. The other malay mother in the class were also very nice...Maya's mother even thought that Maya probably had frightened Koby as she always loves to run and dance around...Maya is very active in participating in the class and very sweet little girl.
Koby's favourite past time at home now is watching the TV and playing his Tanaka cars. He has quite a number...a few was given from others while the rest is bought by mommy. He prefers cars to trains and loves to make the engine sound 'mmmmmm' while he is on daddy's car.
