Coming to 21 months old

It has been almost 3 months since I have uploaded Koby's blog...

We brought Koby for a fishing trip on a sunday morning upon recommendation by
Uncle Tan Lye Soon that there is a place in Yishun called the Bottletree Park where kids can catch fish at 10 bucks. Koby was more interested in swimming in the pond...haa...eventually it was Daddy, Mummy, Aunty Lina who catch...haa...it's supposed to be $10 per pax...eventually was $10 for 4 pax. It was a nice quiet place to spend the lazy sunday morning away.
And finally coming to 21 months, Koby can say a few words "bye bye", "mama", "mum mum", "up" and he also started to follow a few fews he hear. Like today, I heard him saying "zip" while he was watching the Baby can read VCD and say "train" while looking at his Thomas the Train coloring book. We just gotta talk more to him so that in no time he will be able to speak in sentences...Koby "jia you"...Mummy look forward to talking to you....

Koby is 18 months old..at last!!!

Daddy's car....
mmmm.....

I am a little tumble tot
Finally, our little one is 1yr and 6mths...was a really long wait. haa...
This month we have registered him for pre-school (N1) next year at Chinese Kindergarden which is off outram road. There will be an orientation in Oct / Nov this year.
In preparing him for school, we have also sign him up for the tumble tots gym at Jurong East, every sunday at 10.30am. Probably boys are slower...he is still shy and cry when he sess the teacher. But I must comment that Teacher Nadia was very very patient. Despite his crying etc (keep disturbing others...so 'ma lu'), she still encourage us to let him slowly adapt. She even prepare his favourite ambulance when he comes for class...we were very happy when he did not cry last week. The other malay mother in the class were also very nice...Maya's mother even thought that Maya probably had frightened Koby as she always loves to run and dance around...Maya is very active in participating in the class and very sweet little girl.
Koby's favourite past time at home now is watching the TV and playing his Tanaka cars. He has quite a number...a few was given from others while the rest is bought by mommy. He prefers cars to trains and loves to make the engine sound 'mmmmmm' while he is on daddy's car.

Poor Koby Disfigured!!!

Koby'd scar on the left side of his forehead
Haven't been updating the blog for some time. One unfortunate incident happened to Koby in Apr 09.
On 12 Apr 09, after the tumble thots gym class at Jurong East, we headed down to IMM for lunch...probably will be a lifetime regret as Koby got a scar from a fall. While we were waiting for Lina to finish her lunch, Koby was playing at the 'Egg Machine' outside the Kopitiam. As he wasn't very stable, he tripped, fell and knocked his head against the metal part where you turn the ''egg' from the 'Egg Machine'. He was bleeding profusely and we brought him to his PD clinic. The cut was small but the doctor had to 'glue' the cut as it was quite deep. The good thing is no stiches required (phew! otherwise he probably will cry his eyes out).
Dr Edmund Koh was nice. On the third follow-up session, he gave us the antu-scar cream FOC. However, after 1 month plus now, Koby still has the scar. Hopefully as he grow older and his skin will probably strench so that the scar will disappear. Anyway, Koby did not remember the incident anymore and can't keep still as usaual. sigh...

Koby loves Korean strawberries...

Koby simply loves to eat korean straberries and could eat by himself using a toothpick. While enjoying his strawberries, he also makes funny faces on the camera. These two videos are his favourite and will always smile at himself while watching it. He really looks cute with the short hair-cut...very 'armani' style...

Popo's 54th Birthday @ Singapore Flyer Seafood Paradise

Koby started to walk on his own on 9 Feb 09, when he was 14.5 months. Abt two weeks later on 24 Nov 09, eve of his 15 mth birthday, he could stand up on his own. But currently he is stillwobbly and don't look where he is going. He had a bleeding lip last sat and blue-black on his right eye the day after.
We celebrated Popo's 54th birthday at Seafood Paradise @ Singapore Flyer. The restaurant's ambience was good, food is nice and prices were reasonable with complimentary carparking. What's more, there were big fishes in the tanks that kept Koby entertained. The mango cake was from Jack's Place. The place was recommended by Uncle Francis and Aunt Zhenyi. Will definately go there again.

Chinese New Year 2009

Year of the Ox.....happy new year 2009

Koby, mummy and piggy....

Koby doing the "pole dancing". One of his favourite songs from the Baby Genius is "Vinko" the dancing bear. He will try to imitate the bear and swing his arms from side to side....
This year is Koby's 2nd CNY. We went to "Chun Dao He Pan" at the floating Marina waterfront after dinner (Ching Zhu's aunty's treat us for Lo Hei with Mexican Abalone and Chilli Crab at Henderson after striking 4D).
Daddy has chicken pox so we stayed away from him this year...hee....
On the same day, the Chingay procession was going on aound the area. Koby went to bed immediately after we got home at around 11pm (which was past his usual sleeping time at 10am)
